The long-time-no-see frenzy.

Weekends just cannot seem to slow down. In a blink of eye, it's Monday again. Sighhhhh~ I don't like this :( But nevermind, this Friday is GOOD FRIDAY & hence it's a 4 days working week!!! *self-console lolololol* K, whatever I still have to wake up early tmr.

Although the weekends passed so quickly, it was a well spent one! I managed to catch up with some of my peers from poly & the usuals :) The poly friends part was omg superrrr impromptu please. Haha! Okay so it went like this. Alson commented on my instagram photo '... your good friend Ian needed some help blah blah blah', after that he contacted me & told me some details. My initial plan was to nua at home on Saturday, but 都说是朋友了不帮 like very 不够意思 lor. So I asked M to tag along we well since all of us knew each other.

On the day itself, when we were on our way to Mediacorp then we realised we have been tricked to appear on some Channel 8 variety show. My instant reaction -> OH GOOD GOD WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO ASDFGHJKL. But on the other hand there was a few of us, so aiya 要死就一起死 lor! HA! But anyways, it feels GREAT to meet up with these old poly mates of mine (and 2 others which I just got to know) :D :D :D

Just nice on the day itself was Wenhao's birthday!

People want to spend their birthday with Ian also cannot lor, Wenhao you better treasure this chance ah! HAHAHAHA :'D

The few close friends that I have in RP :)

Wenhao made a wish & blew the candle. Then he was like "I wish that Ian Fang will win the Best New Comer Award ok!!" HAHAHA CB ANGKAT WIN (Y) The filming part wasn't too long, quite fun & epic though! Not too sure what show was it for but OMGGGG got one part was really way toooo embarrassing (~__~;) Don't know where to hide my face liao ahahah~

But at the end of the day, I feel that it was a nice impromptu meet up & glad that we still managed to catch up a little! We shall get together again & meet up some other days yeah! :)

It's how amazing to see how much we have grown in these 3 years. We were so young back then hahaha! Having all sorts of nonsense in class and fooling around during field trips. Those were the good old days man :)

Oh my precious M look so cute here ^^

After leaving Mediacorp, both M & me took a bus over to Zach's place for BBQ with the usuals! Have been dragging our BBQ session like forever & finally it's happening but it wasn't full attendance :(

ALOT OF MEAT.

Just look at the amount of red meat. OH LORD (*__*)

Two troubled minds. The korean needed help with his Candy Crush.

Walao I can't even pass level 86, don't even talk about level 191 mannnn (;__;)

OHHH YESS! I FINALLY CHANGED MY IPHONE5 CASING ^^ So mega cute right! Fluffy Rilakkuma with ears!!! Yes, it costed me a bombbbz (nb the shipping cost was half the price of the case asdfghjjlksdw).

开心就好 开心就好。

Okay. Lights out!
Good night y'all :)

SHORT GETAWAY @ BINTAN NIRWANA GARDENS - // DAY 2 //

// Day 2 //

Okay basically we did nothing much from Day 2 onwards hahaha! We just took our time & explored around the Nirwana Gardens Resort. So let the pictures do the talking instead! :D

The excited us ready to chiong for breakfast buffet!!! #sosingaporean HAHA

The first thing that caught my eye - These mega cute & colourful cereal dispenser (*__*) They have almost all the cereals I like!!! JUST MISSING FRUIT LOOPS SERIOUSLY.

Some pastries ~

Other than these breakfast-type-of-food, there's also those rather filling food like nasi lemak, fried noodles, congee...etc. Not a very wide variety to choose from but it's good enough for a complimentary breakfast! I wouldn't complain at all :)

First round only hor! Hahahaha ~

After about 2 rounds, I gave up eating. BUT THEN AGAIN THE CEREAL WERE SOOOOO TEMPTING! HAIYA JUST TAKE ONLY.

This is how you eat cereal with style ;) LOL

Decided to take a stroll around the pool & the beach after we had our breakfast.

Just imagine yourself sitting on the bench with a relaxed mind, close your eyes, feel the sea breeze & listen to the waves. Life is awesome... k for that moment :p

I like to walk along the beach barefooted but I don't really like to go inside the water. Well, unless the seawater is crystal clear but apparently that's not the case haha. So yup we preferred to jump into the pool instead!

Went for a drink at the Pool Bar! It's really cool because you have to swim over to the bar counter. Hot sunny weather + a glass of cocktail/mocktail = AWESOME MUCH?!

No feel to drink alcohol in the early afternoon. A nice chilling mocktail drink would be a better choice I guess?

The very friendly bartender!

Okay okay, I know I'm quite meaty (x__x) #whattodo

With my favourite boy :)

I ordered a mixed fruit mocktail (S$7) But I can't remember exactly which fruits! I know cranberry + 'something'!!! I think it's orange though :O

M ordered something like pina colada!

Traveling together with the one you love is an amazing feeling.
I don't know how to describe but just AMAZING :) xx

Quite a waste, we should have dined at this Japanese restaurant! Sucha nice place, just along the beach!

Okayyyyy.... the beach AGAIN.

At night we took the free resort shuttle bus to the other side of Nirwana for dinner. Actually there are several restaurants all over the Nirwana Gardens, but if you're tight on budget (like me, hais) it would be a headache deciding where to go :/ But the good thing is that, you can view all the restaurant menus at the resort's information counter before making a trip there! At least you can see how's the price like & then decide :)

We ended up at Nirwana Beach Club Restaurant for dinner. Think they're known for their thin crust pizzas, so yup we ordered 1 to share! It's taste pretty good :D Other than that, we also shared satays & M ordered a main dish of his own. Didn't really take any of the other food photos because it was super dark there & idk why but the food looks ugly with my camera flash. Or maybe i fail at taking the photo tsk =_=

Headed over to the La Luna Bar (in same place) for some drinks.

And so, on the 3rd day we woke up early for breakfast again & then made our way to the Ferry Terminal. Overall I think the experience was good! 'Cos I'm not the type of adventurous person ha! There's actually a lot of fun activities to do (paintball, flying fox, banana boat & blah blah blah), but the main purpose of us going there was to chill and some of these activities also not cheap leh! But I think it would be really fun going with a group of friends though, there would be a lot more things to do :)

Short Getaway @ Bintan Nirwana Gardens - // Day 1 //

Hello all! I've filtered all my travel posts here for easy browsing :) Well, not a lot though but hmm hopefully more to come! YES, HOPEFULLY...and there goes all my savings.

Anyway! I went for a short 3D2N getaway at Bintan around this period last month to celebrate M's birthday :) Okay, not really to 'celebrate' because obviously there's nothing much to do there hahaha! It's more like a short trip to forget about all the work related stuff & just chill, relax & enjoy.

// Day 1 //

On the ferry to Bintan!

I've been to Bintan once and that was like TEN YEARS AGO OR SO. Couldn't remember much though. I only remembered staying in this huge villa at Bintan Lagoon Resort, tried to drive the buggy and ended up banging into a bush -__- (wtf)

Booked a room at Nirwana Gardens Resort for this trip. The rate per night is slightly cheaper than Bintan Lagoon, not a very big difference though. But since I've been to Bintan Lagoon before, it's time to try somewhere new ;D

It's pretty easy to travel there from Singapore, not much of a hassle! It's just an hour ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. When we reached Bintan Ferry Terminal, the terminal staff asked which resort we are gonna stay at. Told him we're going to Nirwana resort & he said there's free shuttle bus service there!!! \(*__*)/ YESSSAH! I initially thought we have to like cab there or smth, phew!

You can totally forget about changing your money to Rupiah because everything there is listed in SGD. YES, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE. WTF (O__O) They still accept rupiah but the price wouldn't be stated on the item/product itself, hafta ask. I seriously felt as if I was still in Singapore, like just another island further away from Sentosa LOLOLOL~

A lot of people was standing outside the Ferry Terminal distributing flyers. All kinds of flyers also have!!! Seafood, zi char, spa & massage, medi/pedi, hair salon, fun activities... aiya all sorts of things la. The bus ride to our resort was quite fast, around 10-20 mins.

After a quick check-in, we headed to our room & I was like "OMG OKAY WOW". 'Cos I booked the cheapest type of room there (Superior Double) but didn't expected it to be so nice & spacious!

Okay this is the picture from the booking web.

and what I see is this....

HUGE DIFFERENCE CAN?! THANK GOD IT WAS LIKE THIS & NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND HAHAHA! Apparently I think it was renovated not long ago because there's some sort of 'new room woody smell'.

Looks really beautiful when the lights are on.
Outside view from the room.

I would suggest you to do some groceries shopping at the supermarket before going to the Ferry Terminal, because the snacks there ain't cheap. It's like S$4.50+ for a typical Myojo instant noodles (x__x) Walao even my jap instant noodles from Fairprice isn't that ex!!!

Nua in the room for awhile (it's too comfortable), explored some parts of the resort & took a private bus (S$5 round trip/pax) to Pasar Oleh Oleh for dinner. This place was outside of the Nirwana Resort & hence the transportation fee. Otherwise there is a free shuttle bus that takes you around the whole of Nirwana Gardens. At first I still thought this Oleh Oleh place is quite happening, but it ended up like a super ulu place with not many people -__- Only 2 restaurants, a few souvenir shops & convenience store. So we just settled at this random restaurant for dinner.

M ordered this plate of satay to share & WOAH IT'S SOOOOO FRIGGIN' YUMMMY!!! Seriously one of the best satay I've eaten so far.

Fried Calamari

Typical Mee Goreng.
(Just happen to have cravings for this hahaha)
M's Fried Noodles.
After dinner, we took the bus back to our resort. Saw these HUGE Iguanas while we were walking back to our room.

I think they are quite cute! I don't mind having one as my pet hahahaha :D
okay i know i'm just weirddddd.

Busy birthday boy checking on his FB wall posts while I camwhore alone ;(

M & M :)

Okay I'll continue writing  // Day 2 //  tomorrow, if not I'm gonna be late for work!!!

xx

hello, strangers.

Mag is back :)
... and trying to keep this space alive.
