Kiyomizudera Temple Kyoto

If you want to experience traditional Japanese culture, Kyoto is the place to visit.

I've always been a fan of traditional Japanese architectures hence I was really excited when we were on our way to Kyoto (i've been wanting to visit this place like forever!!!) The train ride takes about  30 minutes if you take from Osaka/Shin Osaka station (via the JR Kyoto line rapid service)

On the train to Kyoto! Okay I don't look that excited BUT I AM K. HAHAHA

Our first stop was to visit the famous Kiyomizudera Temple. From Kyoto Station you can take bus 100 or 206 from the bus interchange and alight at gojo-zaka or kiyomizu-gojo bus stop (aiya just alight when you see majority of the people alight LOL) From there you have to look at the map and find the correct path to walk uphill or try your luck and follow the crowd #okjoke

If you find yourself at this street means yay you're halfway there!
Congratulations and continue walking.

WE MADE IT TO THE TOP and tmd there's still a flight of stairs awaiting us zzzz

You may want to pay a 300yen admission fee to visit the temple. The view you get to see there would be priceless, so please do it! This photo is totally not doing justice to the beautiful trees. Okay maybe my camera photography skill suck #everythingalsoblamecamera

Beautiful flower spotted.

After walking out of the main temple, you'll see a path to the Jishu Shrine. Apparently this shrine is dedicated to the deity of love/match-making, so lovebirds/single friends, you know where to go now huh? ;)

They sell many different charms here! Call me superstitious or what but I seriously think these charms are damn 靈 and I always have them with me HAHA ;D

Oh hi, famous love stone.

Brb praying for good luck.

Well it's a lovely place to visit if you're into temples & shrines.

And this... the mandatory tourist shot of Kiyomizudera!

After walking for almost the entire day, it's time to fill our stomach with foooood. Nothing beats having a bowl of warm authentic udon in this chilly weather :) Simple and yet so good!!!

Had this really yummy soft-serve ice cream on the way back! Omg my favourite black sesame and honey vanilla :'D Sorry but this cone here can easily beat llaollao & honeycreme.

Lastly not forgetting my #ootd.

I honestly think a day trip to Kyoto is not enough :(

Osaka Castle & Pokemon Center Osaka

"OH FINALLY I GET TO SEE THE OSAKA CASTLE"
/strikes off in my bucketlist

Yeah, i've always wanted to visit the Osaka Castle because friends and relatives who went there already were like "omg please go, it's so beautiful and you'll like it!" - true enough hahaha

Before heading to the castle, we went to have our breakfast/brunch at Matsuya! Omg I can't believe it's my first time having Matsuya despite being in Japan for the 3rd time (idk which hole have I been living in zzzz) I REALLY LOVE THE GYUDON W/ TAMAGO, LIKE SO DAMN GOOD & CHEAP?! This meal here costs less than S$5 omgasdfghjkl

Uh, random selfie of the day.

We took a train to Osakajokoen Station and walked to the castle (approx 15-20 mins walk) I finally get to see the beautiful autumn trees changing colours!!! :D 'Cos I realised there isn't much trees in the city area (meh)

After walking like forever...

BEHOLD THE BEAUTY OF THE OSAKA CASTLE

The i-don't-know-what-to-pose kinda pose (-_\)

Photography wasn't allowed inside the castle. Basically it's like a museum inside with ancient artifacts on display and you can learn more about the history of Osaka Castle. Photography was only allowed when you reach the top of the castle.

Totally lovin' the gorgeous view!

There were many stalls selling small bites and ice cream just outside the castle.
I heard the ice cream is really good though, but I didn't get to try it.

There was this carnival-like event going on and I was saving my stomach for the food there actually!

The grilled beef on stick looks good and it was calling for me :'D M bought the Okonomiyaki that tastes like crap HAHAHA~ Or maybe we're just not fans of okomomiyaki LOL!

OH BUT MINE WAS REALLY YUMMY THOUGH :D
700yen (S$7.70) for this generous portion of medium-rare cooked beef > 值得!!!

#ootd in the park

We decided to make a trip down to the Pokemon Center since it was on the way :) It is located at Daimaru Umeda Store (level 13), which is connected to JR Osaka Station. Accessible much!

Time to revive my childhood!!! Is it just me or these new pokemons look... weird? :/

Sorry I think i'll just stick to my old school Charmander & Squirtle ;)
